PCA Grants
Our Purpose: Removing Barriers to Healing
At Patient Care Advocates (PCA), our mission is to remove financial and logistical barriers that prevent patients from healing. We understand that the cost of essential supplies and navigating insurance for advanced wound care can be overwhelming.
These grants are designed to provide direct financial and material support to patients struggling with chronic wounds. We help cover the cost of supplies and advanced treatments that are often denied by insurance, allowing you to focus on what matters most: your recovery.

Supply Grant
These are grants for people who are not under the care of providers in the PCA network. PCA donates supplies that will be delivered to you at home.
PCA will donate wound care supplies like gauze pads, gauze wraps, coban, calcium, zinc, and silver dressings ranging from $50 - $150 one time donations

Intersession Grant
These are grants for people who are being denied advanced wound care by their Medicare Advantage Plan.
We work with a Medicare specialist to determine what benefits you are getting through your plan and what the difference is between straight Medicare and your Advantage plan so we can fill in the gap while you recieve advanced care.

Eligibility Criteria
To ensure our resources are distributed equitably and in compliance with federal guidelines, all grant applicants must meet the following criteria:
Wound Based Need
Must have a documented diagnosis of a chronic wound (wound present for more than 4-12 weeks without healing)
Financial Need
Must meet objective, income-based eligibility guidelines (based on household income and Federal Poverty Level).
Demonstrated Cost Burden
Must show a clear financial need, such as high out-of-pocket costs, lack of insurance, or a formal denial of care from an insurance provider.
Compliance & Non-Discrimination Notice
Patient Care Advocates (PCA) grants are provided based on objective, disease-based need and financial eligibility. Grant decisions are independent of the patient’s provider, treatment type, or medication, ensuring adherence to Federal and State Anti Kickback Statutes and the Beneficiary Inducement Statute.
PCA does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, disability, or sex. All applications are reviewed based on the written policy's objective criteria.
